Sounds like you are really straining to hit the upper notes. Straining is not good at all; if you feel like you are straining and have tension in your throat, stop singing and get some lessons immediatly.

Do you really think that rasp is the most important thing? A little bit like Jonpall :P

Definitely it is NOT. Try sing the chorus with clear head voice, and then add rasp.

Cheers. Great song btw.

Noooo, not head voice! :o That sounds soooo bad for a song like this... Although Bon Jovi ruined his voice by singing the high chorus in a raspy chest voice I believe he set the mood for what a song like this demands... Healthy singing vs full attitude..

I sing the chorus in full overdrive but it sounds kinda shitty to be honest as it doesn't fit the song =/

Devaitis, that guy is very good :P That's EXACTLY how my overdrive sounds in this song, I don't like it as it doesn't sound as rough and powerful as high chest... But everyone's got their own taste :p

High chest tones arent the healthiest notes in the world to sing. And low head tones are friggin very hard to master. I can't sing this song, so I really can't comment - other than what I just said.
