jzhang172
When doing exercises such as lip trills, mums, ee, ahhs, what should the volume level be? I tend to be at a higher volume then my regular voice but not at my yelling voice completely.
VideoHere
on some of the exercises like the lip bubble, loud volume or pushing is not desirable. on the others it all depends on what you are practising... are you working that day on light coordinations or heavier engagements? are you working full voice or just head voice? generally speaking however you begin an exercise, (loud, soft) end the same way. there really shouldn't be any volume spikes or decreases in volume. jonpall
For lip trills and warm up exercises, I suggest low volume. For regular exercises (past your warmup) and normal singing, I suggest slightly louder than medium volume, or just medium volume.
