keoladonaghy
Aloha, I've been doing Singing Success for about 6 months now and feel like I'm making good progress. I've found the "mix" and getting a nice resonance in the mask. One thing I've noticed is that I'm only feeling a nice strong resonance in the right side, and very little in the left. During a doctor's visit (on another health issue) I asked him about it, if it was possibly sinitus or something else. He didn't think this was the case and suggested it might simply be anatomical. I do notice that if I close of my nostrils one at a time, that it is much harder to breathe through the left nostril alone as compared to the right. I'm not overly concerned about this but curious if others have experienced, and if it is perhaps something that would be worth visiting a nose, ears and throat specialist for. Snax
I just saw an ENT myself for my huge tonsils and he noted that I too have some issues with my nasal passages and is sending me for an MRI to check them out properly. For sure see a specialist if it is something that affects your breathing. There's a reason we all have two nostrils instead of one right? ;)
StevenMFeinbergMD
You may have a septal deviation or some other process like nasal polyps blocking one nasal passage. A trip to the ENT should answer this question for you, although a CT scan of your sinuses may be needed to find out for sure.
