Adonis
Damn has anybody checked this out??? This dude is one of my favorite vocalist but dang he sounded horrible here. Do you guys think its just some haters messing with the sound or its legit??? The performance seems to be the unedited version of Grenade that he does for Billboard. Its this one I believe. Pretty crazy.
ronws
I didn't hear that he was straining. The first one that is just the album cover, it sounds like he is singing it softly, more intimately. And that it is a single track vocal. The second one, supposedly live, however, sounds like doubled vocals, either in post recording or a vocal doubler used in the proces. By the way, many is a "live" album that received touch-ups in the studio. So, it's quite possible that Bruno's "live" performance in that room is not quite as live as you think it is. Opaa
I think he sounds good there The very top notes are too tight alright but otherwise isn't that just the way he sings and sounds all the time?
devaitis
Just like opaa said. Many singers produce "styl-ish" strained sound. Sting (the Police times) is one of them.
Guest
I don't hear anything I would consider bad not to mention "horrible." But what I do hear is what has been said before by those gifted ones who have gone before us; and I have repeated here on more than one occasion. Sometimes it's not the note you sing or play, it's what you do with it. And he does "it" good. As someone else mentioned, style.
Opaa
"Many singers produce "styl-ish" strained sound. Sting (the Police times) is one of them." Steven Tyler does this too imo.
