Hey guys, as nothing was happening in the other thread me and marcus took things in our own hands and wrote a TMV FORUM EPIC ROCKOPERA SONG.

So here's the link to the song and the backtrack so you guys can record your own parts on it! Get your mics and warmup your voice's! Marcus will post lyrics and instructions for recording!

a recording on how it could sound, only me an marcus on this one

http://www.speedyshare.com/files/19880066/Marcus___Jens_-_TMV_forum_song.mp3

here's the backtrack!

http://www.speedyshare.com/files/19880076/Marcus___Jens_-_TMV_forum_song_backtrack.mp3

after some thinking we are gonna do like this.

from post lower down

"

OK here's the deal this is how we are gonna work, we are first gonna share this first part of the song so we will handpick of the people that make contributes for certain parts.

this will make it smooth, it will be very hard to work for me and marcus if everyone gets a full verse bridge and chourus and the song.

But dont worry everyone will get their part! new verses sticks chouruses will be added as long there's intrest but lets avoid an half an hour song :P"

We will take the recordings you send - each get a verse, bridge and chorus or stick and chorus. If we get a LOT of people sending recordings we will pick the best contributions.

The melody is not set in stone. Please feel free to experiment to show the best parts of your voice.

I need the recordings to be from the very start of the song, without the backtrack (use headphones when recording). I will add all the reverb and effects so send the files clean. If you want to add some extra chorus harmonies make that a separate track from the begining of the song. Mp3s are fine, and make it as high quality as you can.

Give it your best!

EDIT: First off we work with poeple taking parts from this to sing, then we start adding more lyrics to fill the gaps.

Here's the lyrics:

TMV Forum Song

By Marcus Carlén & Jens Johansson

Intro

Der anno - founder Robert Lunte

Inspire, all singers

Angelo, angelo, angelo

TMV!

Vers 1 - Matt sings this part

Late last night,

I found this great website

I felt that I was stunned

And all the skill, vocalized thrill

Finally made me manage my break

Come on and join for free today

Chorus 1

TMV forum, I'm reading through the night

TMV forum, all the beautiful guys :D

Helps you develop

Will take you to the sky

Vers 2

I've increased an octave in full voice

Oh my heart is full of joy

I can't believe that it is true

And it's all because of you

Come on and join for free today

Chorus 2

TMV forum, I'm reading through the night

TMV forum, all the beautiful guys

Helps you develop

Will take you to the sky

Power

Power

stick/middle part - 1 Marcus sings this part

The final truth is not untold

Bringing closure to your folds

With support and bridge intact

Reading up on all the facts

stick/middle part - 2 Jens sings this part

Breaking bonds of old clichés

Let the false folds into play

And distortion you can add

Making vocals raving mad

Chorus 3

TMV forum, I'm reading through the night

TMV forum, all the beautiful guys

Helps you develop

Will take you to the sky

and for the new parts:

Vers 3

SLS is still okay

But Robert Lunte thinks it's gay

Steven Fraser analyze

Giving keys to paradise

Come on and take my breath away

Vers 4

Martin H's voice is mean

The CVT's man of scream

And if you read he'll make you see

What fullmetallic is for free

Come on and take my breath away

Re-upped backtrack, with Michele's vocals added to the choir:

Marcus: I like it! Got a chord chart for this? I'd like to write some lower parts for the vocal harmony. If not, I will just do it by ear.

Marcus, I suggest that everyone record the whole thing if they want... use these lyrics OR write a couple new verses for them selves... then you take the new verses from each singer and just edit it in... its ok if the song goes on and on and on and on... it will add to the humor "epic" of it.... you know ,each person comes in with yet another cool two verses and it just goes on and on... I think it could be really neat... ok, we are on to something here... thanks or kick starting this you guys... Leave it to the Swedes to get the rock opera rockin!

yeah that could work robert! But if all record 2 verses the file will get huuuge if alot of singers join in :P so it will be very hard for people to download, so i personaly think that 1 verse per singer is probably enough to show off your vocalskills ;)

you can get the tracks robert by rightclicking on the link and press save as, when youve clicked the speedysharelink(s).

So spread it as much as you want :P

im glad you liked it, looking forward for your version :)

Glad you like the song poeple!

I think Jens has a point in the song being really huge if everyone records 2 verses. I think each shoud do 1 verse with bridge and lead on 1 chorus OR 1 part of the stick (actually I think that's a swedish term... but it was in the middle of the night when I wrote it. Should be Middle Part or something) and lead on 1 chorus. That way poeple sing approximately the same amount of EPIC ROCK - and I'm hoping a lot of people contribute to this, so the song will hopefully be kinda long anyway. I think we could probably post some more lyrics, but people are free to make contributions to that too. Also there are a lot of places for some screaming/vocal showing off. So everyone recording are free to do one of those too.

Robert - you are free to spread the song as it is if you like, just make sure our names are somewhere to read so we get the cred

Matt - I love it! Great voice man! Could you post it without the backing track so I can add it to the song? And please do bridge and chorus too!

This will be so awesome!

Matt did a realy good start so matt will take this part and open up our glorius rock opera for us! Me and marcus will handle the first stick, and one scream each after the first and third chourus. this will be written in the top post. I think this will have the best outcome on the song!

Late last night,

I found this great website

I felt that I was stunned

Finally made me manage my break- Matt.

So dont be afraid to make new lyrics me and marcus will spawn as much as we can! :)

James - would be great if you'd like to contribute!

And by the way, guitar solo or keyboard solo is very possible to add too if someone would like! Either over the middle part or the chorus. If there's a lot of soloists we'll split it up and put it in different parts of the song. Record it from the beginning of the backtrack without the backing music (use headphones or a POD or similar) and upload for me to put together in the song.

what a great idea! My husband has a recording set up and so I will definitely see what I can contribute. Maybe I could do a Soprano Opera part to help with the swedish sound? Anyway, I'm off tomorrow so I'll start warming up! :D

Rock on..

Michele

Thanks for all the nice comments people! Good to hear that you like our voices, now I'm looking forward to all your contributions! If anyone got lyrics suggestions, please post them.

Michelle - opera soprano would be super cool! That should also be added to the choir in the chorus and in the intro, along witht the suggestet gregorian stuff from Steven Fraser.

Havent had time to do anything today, this is a slightly clearer idea of the verse I was thinking of that I did yesterday, got an idea for the em, f#m, B stick thing too:

http://www.speedyshare.com/files/19916578/yo.mp3

my prob is I wont have a proper computer to record on for several weeks, I doubt this quality is usable...
