TMV World Legacy Member Guest Posted October 17, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted October 17, 2012 It isn't about tone. Your tone is good. It's about technique. At around 11 seconds you sing the word "sky" and sing it staccato or like an arpeggio. Breath control will help coordinate that into a smooth legato or modulation. Most of the rest of the song, although not bad, could benefit from some work on vowels. The "ee" was very...well... "ee." Or more like eeee! Work on vowels and controlling the breath more to support the notes. Actually you added an "a" at the ends of the ee. "Feel" became "Feeeal." The tone is good. Technique. :)
TMV World Legacy Member Skizzo00 Posted October 19, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted October 19, 2012 Your tone is nice. Actually quite similar to Michael Buble. Just going to point out the things i notice on first listen. A few of the "feels" are to short, the 2nd one for example. Hold that out closer towards when the violins change, to much of a gap otherwise for me. You can shorten some of them as a stylistic choice, but pick and choose where it works. Also some of the words, "life", "feel/sea/free/tree/sleep", "day" etc try resonating those vowels a bit more in your mouth to clear them up a bit. Outside of that its very nice, good job.
