VideoHere
hi folks. by no means do i wish to imply that vocalizing is not skillful, or at times really difficult and challenging, it just seems the "acting" part of it has a way of improving vocal ability as well...sometimes (go easy on me now, lol!) more than the academic approach. how do you feel? do you agree or disagree with that observation? Matt
I really agree that when Im in my best shape and as close to "the zone" as my limited technical capacity will allow, when I completely get into speaking and not singing, then it really helps to concentrate on reading the lyrics aloud as a story set to notes and also to articulate well rather than just sing some sounds. VideoHere
there's just mistake you made "g.q." matt..., you're not without technical ability.

VideoHere
i really find that spending time emulating and imitating helps a lot... gotta remember, some of these motown guys were way to poor to ever get formal training and they still sounded great
