chuy67
So today I decided to, after reading the times that some people practice on this forum, to increase my practice time by 2 hours. After practice I was a tiny bit horse, but only for about 1-3 min. Is that bad or is it just the voice getting used to a longer practice?

If you have overdone it a bit in your workout, this will help make the adjustment to the 'after singing'. Then, just don't use your voice for a few minutes... to give it recovery time. If the hoarseness continues, reduce the intensity of the last 15 minutes of the practice... make it 'mental practice', or simply less strenuous. FYI, top-performing operatic singers reduce the amount of talking time after their concerts... it makes recovery happen more predictably.
