Does anyone know the technical term for this technique :50 1:02 1:05. Its the higher pitch he suddenly goes into. It sort of sounds like a controlled voice crack. Does anybody know what this is called and any detailed description on how to probably do it? Thanks everyone!

Sorry not sure how to emb.

singingbeginner: Its a short, light head voice production... in CVT terms, a bit of neutral with air, I think.

i hear that as a quick transition moving from his light mix to a heady yodel and back to his light mix.

you need the ability to drop out of the mix's fold tension and relax the folds to enable the switch to a headier more airy sound, then bring back the fold tension and get back in your mix.

it's basically a yodel. yodeling requires a relaxed vocal track to allow the switch to occur.

no biggie.
