MDEW
It seems that more I sing the more I will sound as if I have a cold coming on. Can it be caused by bad technique?
ronws
Sometimes, when I am singing, especially high and loud, I end up shaking some stuff loose. When I can, I blow my nose before warming up or singing. And sometimes, while practicing, and phlegm starts coating, I go ahead and clear my throat. Such is the bane of having allergies. Of course, we all sound best right out of the shower. The steam has coated our folds and steamed out our sinuses. However, yes, improper technique can also cause some fatigue and a bit of a crackly voice. What is the humidity like in the room when you are singing. I sound like crap in the car with the heater on high (lobster boil, I like to call it.) I end up cracking a window and letting in some damp air, cold as it may be. MDEW
Its not like flem on the cords. It's more like a Rocky Balboa sound. Stopped up sinuses or swelling in the nostrals. May be dry air.
smith joe
It might due to the dry air and dusty atmosphere of surroundings.. Keep in check and come to know its reasons.
