In another discussion some of us were talking about playing guitar and singing at the same time.

There are alot of skillful players out there and here is a great example. This is Oz Fox, he is a guitar player

and backup singer for Stryper. He is also in a classick rock cover band called Vinyl Tattoo. Here he is playing

and singing lead to a Stryper song, 'The Way', while playing all the guitar parts. He is truly an amazing performer.

You can check here too

It's me live singing and playing at the same time. It takes a lot of time but all that kind of things can be done if you practice real slow with a metronome. It s far from perfect because it was the first time I was doing it on stage.

Josh - that was great. I would pay to see that show.

Adon - I think you shared this before, elsewhere. It's still good. Didn't you say the drummer left not to long after this?

David So - dude has some soul. He should change his name to David Soul. Get it? God, I'm good.

Great song. He should release it. Either on his own recording or get it copyrighted and pitched to Darryl Hall. At least, I think so.

It's not very often that I have trouble with singing and playing guitar together, but if I happen to take on a song that proves to be challenging for both, I will isolate just the guitar. "Love Me Tender" was a challenging one for me at first. There's twelve chord changes in the chorus. I picked it up on guitar fairly quickly, but realized I was concentrating a little too much as I played it. So, I simply played it over and over until I was on "auto-pilot", then threw in the vocals, and all was well.

Got it, and just had a Starsky & Hutch flashback. :D

I wondered if anyone would catch that. Some of my best material, just laying there, going to waste ....
