icymei
First of all, sorry if a topic like this already exists, I'm just guessing that cuz it seems to be a pretty common issue? From what I've heard, breathiness comes from "improper vocal cord closure" (please correct if I am wrong) But are there are really good exercises to stop being breathy? I think my voice is extremely breathy ()
ronws
In an easy part of range at a pitch that is easy and comfortable for you, make the sound, "gug." Move that up and down your range as long as it's comfortable. With the breathiness, your onset of sound is too soft. This exercise will build a little air pressure at the onset because the consonant requires more cord closure when you release from the 'g' in gug. VideoHere
icy, the weak, airy type of breathyness can also come from an under supported voice. best to hear what you mean by "breathiness."
