eggplantbren
What does the voice sound like just after it has been produced by the vocal folds? Does anyone have a simulation I can listen to? It would be interesting to hear sounds with different amounts of closed quotient/different modes, with the filter of the throat and mouth and whatnot taken out. eggplantbren
Also, would different people's voices sound very different at that point? Or is that mostly to do with throat shape etc?
Felipe Carvalho
Its a very cheap and uninsteresting buzz. There was a video on youtube with a better model, this is the best I could find: He says the folds are active but its just a model with no ajustments whatsoever, but serves the purpose. Yes its different on each individual, frequency of vibration varies and the harmonic content too. Size, thickness, even qualities of the soft tissue.
