TMV World Legacy Member imperatormk Posted March 5, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 5, 2013 Hi. I really want to sing better, but I need an advice what I need to work on... I am aware that my singing abilities at this time are not very good, but I believe that with enough work I can get better, and I need an advice how to do it. So, I here is my singing voice, and I hope that someone will critique it. The song is not in English, but I hope thta won't be a problem. I am interested how it sounds from all aspects: pitch, timbre, power etc.. Thanks a lot!! The link: http://picosong.com/njRH
TMV World Legacy Member Gina Ellen Vocalist Posted March 5, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 5, 2013 The recording isn't great so it's difficult to tell. Sounds like your power and breath isn't actually too bad. The pitches are mostly ok but you could definitely practice more on that. The beginnings of lots of the notes are a bit wobbly, then you find your feet so practice getting the note spot on in tune straight away. Your tone could be improved through resonance and just a better vocal technique in general. Good shot though, nice try and keep it up, you'll get there :D Professional vocalist in Devon, England. TMV World Legacy Member imperatormk Posted March 5, 2013 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 5, 2013 Well, thanks for the answer!! Everything you said sounds very reasonable. Can you possibly give some exercises (or links to them) so I could work out those things that need improvement? Thanks!
TMV World Legacy Member mr-leonor99 Posted March 13, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 13, 2013 just search on the forum, their are a section called : "vocal technique" and youtube and their is a lot of programs that you can get just search, try to get a vocal teacher(that is what I should do as well but...didn't find anyone they tell me I have to study music at first but that is another topic) I think that in your country you can easily find a teacher that will hear you"live" and give you advices, add to that a program that you SHOULD buy if you CAN to get serious about singing and to hear the words : "oh you're so talented, I never saw someone improve the way you did on this short time" sing sing sing sing, hear music, hear music hear music, and sing sing.... and wait and enjoy scream, unlock your voice don't be afraid of being loud you have an intrument that you want to master, experiment, even if you're not singing you should be singing in your head just enjoy it man, and don't care about the others, do what you have to do, wait don't look for answers on forums, we are only amateurs, professionals aren't going to give you lessons for free, we are living in a MONETARY SYSTEM, thats the way it is, in youtube you'll see teachers tell you that you caan sing, that its easy, that THEY can sing, that their students can, but you have to pay my friend, that's the way it is

TMV World Legacy Member Gina Ellen Vocalist Posted March 14, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 14, 2013 good job harry. You might get more replies if you made your own thread and didn't tag on the end I liked it. Maybe think about where you take your breath. A couple of times I heard you take it in a weird place that kind of broke up the flow of the song, liked it though, nice one Professional vocalist in Devon, England.
