TMV World Legacy Member Chavie Posted March 28, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted March 28, 2013 Not much vocal gymnastics on this one....But i thought id post amyway... "Opeth" and "Pink Floyd" are major influences here....very jam band feel. it's a pretty dark tune based some of Lovecrafts writing.... http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12241944 Let me know what you guys think. www.soundclick.com/chavie
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted March 28, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted March 28, 2013 I thoroughly enjoyed it. A sonic mindscape. My mind went somewhere and came back. So, I don't have any technical details to list. Good stuff.
TMV World Legacy Member Adoney Posted March 28, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted March 28, 2013 I saw Opeth play heritage live. What a show. Hey man, this song is really awesome! 5/5 :)
TMV World Legacy Member Validar Posted March 29, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted March 29, 2013 Very good all around. The vocals, the guitar tone, and the ominous piano intro. I've never been skydiving, but I've zoomed in on Google Earth really, really fast.
TMV World Legacy Member Jugulator Posted March 29, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted March 29, 2013 Very unusual harmonies. Great vocal job. http://www.youtube.com/user/IgorJugulatorZotov
TMV World Legacy Member Chavie Posted March 31, 2013 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted March 31, 2013 Thanks everyone.I thought this might be a bit too "Out there" for most on here. But I'm glad some of you enjoyed it. I listen to a lot of Porcupine tree and Steven wilson....some of my original stuff tends to take on some of that weirdness lol www.soundclick.com/chavie
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted March 31, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted March 31, 2013 Aye, but you've not been down a dark path until you follow the trail of Robert Smith from the Cure. Episodes of depression and despair and a sonic mindset that defies rays of light. The history of the band and Smith's direction read very much like a Douglas Adams' novel. For example, in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, there is Marvin, the manic-depressive robot. Well, in real life, there is Robert Smith, the manic depressive bandleader and songwriter. Your song is daisies and sunlight in comparison.
TMV World Legacy Member gno Posted April 5, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted April 5, 2013 Nice job! love the production. Guitar tones are killer. I like the harmonies and chord progressions. Very creative stuff indeed. It sets an ominous mood. My Music:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=897808
