Trying this again - Better Man by James Morrison

So I was singing today and I discovered a really cool resonance in my soft palate. I think that is what my voice teacher and choir directors describe as a "round" or "open" resonance. It feels really cool to have the notes be able to ring. I wanted to record a song to see if I stumbled into an epiphany. I posted a cover of this song a few months ago and I'm going to give it another shot. Let me know what you guys think.

sounds good to me. Some spots were a bit pitchy but I really like your tone and with a bit more development I think you could be good. And as for the resonance you described, It sounds like its working for you in places. Way to go :)

support support support dude.... you go off pitch because your support is weak man...

keep pushing down on the diaphram... When you start singing "louder" you give more support and stay on pitch longer...when you prolong the words (like under the STAAARRRRSSSS) you fall.... give more support and you'll stay on tune.

Thanks for the feedback! I've been trying to get down the concept of support and actually applying it, but I just don't get it. I know how to breathe "with my diaphragm," but I don't know what to do with the breath afterwards. I've been told that support feels like there's a balloon in your stomach and you try to keep that expansion as you let air out. I've also heard that you're supposed to push down on your diaphragm to achieve support, and also that when you're supporting correctly, you shouldn't feel any sort of dramatic sensation. My voice teacher is trying to get me to support by breathing and singing energetically. When I do this, she says I'm supporting properly, but I don't feel any differently than if I'm not supporting. Are there any tips or exercises that can help me?
