GrammCummingsfan
I put beginner in quotes because I have actually been singing for a long time, but I am just now starting to really explore some new configurations of the voice for extended range and agility. Given this, what are some good classic rock or pop songs that are relatively easy to sing for someone who doesn't have a great deal of experience using head voice but wants to improve this area? Try this one. It's actually a bit of mixed voice going on.
ronws
Here's another one to ease you into head voice in places.
GrammCummingsfan
Thank you, Ron! I love both of these songs, and they will both challenge me for sure.
ronws
Glad I could help. And Bob, I know you are lurking. This is not the highest song Lou sings. That's why I offered it. Kind of like a bike with training wheels. Sabe? And, in addition, I think Kevin Cronin is under-rated and does not get enough attention. Dude can still sing like this so many decades later. Remylebeau
And, in addition, I think Kevin Cronin is under-rated and does not get enough attention. Dude can still sing like this so many decades later. Maybe that's because Styx, Journey, Foreigner, and REO all get grouped together and he just doesn't compare to Dennis DeYoung, Steve Perry, and Lou Gramm? Kevin Cronin is a good singer, but there's absolutely nothing about his voice that blows me away. The other three absolutely do.
