Looking for guidance

So I've been using the popular app song for a few weeks now and even though I've never really sang for real before I've been getting a bit of good feedback.

Now don't get me wrong, I've never had a singing lesson in my life so I know I'm far from X factor auditions haha. But I was just wondering if you guys could give me a listen and offer any advice on what to do.

I do use techniques such as open throat and singing from the diaphragm but that's about all I know.

If just like to know what I'm doing wrong.

Also I feel like my head voice, I'm going about it all wrong. I feel like my voice is deep and dull for a woman singing.

I'm the second singer in the recording and also the one whose singing that long high note near the end.

Thanks for any input. Please be as critical as you like as I've said, I've never took singing seriously before but would now like to pursue it :-)

For a beginner you do not sound too bad. I think you would have more responses if you post in the critique section. There are more people who will only comment there but they are willing to give advice.
