Nice effort on "Sympathy." Try to shift the vowel in "imagina-shohn" to "imagina-shahn." In another life, David Byron would have been a countertenor, a different voice type than yours. And I could not help but to compare, when I hate it when others compare to heavily to the original. So, I would say, re-do this on your style, rather than worrying about David's version.

Which leads me to my next thought.

You were way better on "If You Leave Me Now" and it has nothing to do with the fact that you sang about an octave lower than the original. What made it better is that is a love song for a crooner and that is what your voice makes me think of. You are a crooner, a singer of soft love songs. So the style of this song fit you better and I bet it was the easier of the two for you to perform and record. You made this song all your own.

I am not saying that you can only choose certain songs to sing. But I am saying that you should always do a song in the "style" that fits your voice.

ronws, I lost the count how many times you said that to me. Yes, I know I can sing "love songs" better but as an amateur singer I just sing to have some fun

But I like to do the things the better way that I can, so I'll record Sympathy again. And I think Sympathy is a song from John Lawton's "era", anyway in the record I use to listen Lawton is the singer, and I think he is the best!

Thanks ronws!!!

And you corrected me. I think you are right. See, at my age, my memory is selective and resembles swiss cheese.

Well done, M.
