TMV World Legacy Member Chavie Posted August 19, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 19, 2013 Ive come so far this year.....and its absolutely because of this forum Without people like "Ronws" "Geno" "Danielformica" "Robert lunte" giving me amazing tips.. i would have never discovered how to get past the Passagio lol Before this forum(notice the weak falsetto.......lol) http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11110041 After this forum http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12461866 www.soundclick.com/chavie
TMV World Legacy Member akarawd Posted August 19, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 19, 2013 I can clearly hear the difference (although I prefer the 1st attempt except for the chorus where I like the 2nd). I can clearly hear the "ping"/"brightness" in your voice, but I can also hear a good amount of vocal weight, don't know how you do that with such ease. Your voice is not covered/overtly thick and there's no strain whatsoever, you keep that brightness throughout. Please don't get me wrong, I think that you, among very few on this forum, have a professional sounding voice but I would like to ask you if you have used any pitch correction. Cheers, THan https://www.facebook.com/ogregomixmaster?ref=hlhttp://www.ogregomixmaster.nethttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCprgiVsfB0O7dPjWebgu5PA
TMV World Legacy Member Chavie Posted August 19, 2013 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 19, 2013 You couldn't have gave me a bigger compliment lol Nope no auto tune or that jazz....But this tune did take multiple takes. I've always had a good sense of pitch, i think that might be because of my guitar and piano training. www.soundclick.com/chavie
TMV World Legacy Member gno Posted August 19, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 19, 2013 Nice job Chavie - you can definitely hear a difference, although the first one is good too. Killer guitar work and nice mix. Nice slide up on the ending! My Music:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=897808
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted August 19, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 19, 2013 Excellent stuff, Chavie. I do agree that the chorus in the second version is "stronger" and more fitting than the first version but you showed really good effort both times. But like you, of the two, I like the second one. And blessing to you, brother from the Great White North.

TMV World Legacy Member MDEW Posted August 20, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 20, 2013 I think both attemps were awesome. The second was way more powerful sounding. "You need a strong foundation to reach the heights."
TMV World Legacy Member Gneetapp Posted August 20, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 20, 2013 I like the way you sound on both, although the second one was better because of the chorus. I think that with time and training you could make the chorus sound even fuller, if you want it to. Congratulations on the great job Chavie. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to show improvement on my passagio too.
TMV World Legacy Member Olem Posted August 23, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 23, 2013 You sound great on both, Chavie, but i also prefer the second one because of its more beefy chorus. The first chorus is also good and it is not falsetto in the sense that the head voice is breathy more like it is more thin. You remind me a little of a singer named Toby Hitchcock - a great AOR singer most famous with a band called Pride Of Lions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vNm_Uf7R-c
