Bother by Corey Taylor

Your voice sounds fine in the lower register but a bit strained when you go high. On the other hand, you're driving (at night) at the same time which means you're sitted and your attention is on the road so I cannot really know what you're capable of.

What I do know is that what you did is dangerous to others and that aggravates me.

The strain is just a vocal styling by manipulating the airflow around my soft palate at the top of my throat to get the gravely tone. It's perfectly fine and doesn't damage my vocal cords. I have a camera mount on my dashboard and I'm paying attention to my driving. It's no different than just singing while driving.

Way to go by saying I'm endangering people, even after saying that you thought my attention was on the road.

Is that what the strain was ? My apologies then, it didn't sound right to me, that's all.

And please don't get upset because I find what you do dangerous, some people do, others don't.

I'm not upset, I just don't want to be misinterpreted as reckless. I take precautions to make sure I and the people around me are safe, because it can potentially be dangerous.

I liked it but then, again, I am already a fan and I am waiting for the first released album from you.

I like Corey Taylor, both in Slipknot, on his solo stuff, and even the bits he's done on the Golden Gods awards. And am totally moved by his reaction to winning the vocalist of the year 2013. Dude is real.

How humbling is that? when I grow up (even though am about 10 years older than him) , I want to be like Taylor.

As for singing and driving, I do it all the time. Merging from I-35 north to Sam Rayburn Tollway, doing about 75 mph, driving a standard (stick shift transmission) and crossing four lanes of traffic. Can you say multi-tasking?

Yeah, Corey is about as down to earth as they come. I love his music with Stone Sour, too. Some skipknot songs, but pretty much exclusively the ones without scream vocals.

I know, right? It was neat, years later, to hear him singing legit.

Sounds pretty good to me. I'd like to hear what you can do when not concentrating on driving too.

I'll look our for the next one.

Thanks! I'll have something in studio soon.

All you need is a steering wheel mounted in front of the mic. Whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable.

:)
