I know there's a lot I have to work on with my singing but I am keen to be able to sing my own songs.

Here is one I have recorded recently, I think one of my main issues is breath control?

I play guitar and bass and am finding that learning to sing seems to be more subtle than learning to play an instrument...I can't afford lessons at the moment (I know I would benefit!) so at the moment any pointers would be really helpful - thank you.

I am not hearing a problem. It sounded fine, to me. You are not singing opera, you are singing folk contemporary.

Good point, it isn't an opera I'm singing so maybe I just need to stick with it and practise all I can! I've been dusting off some songs I've written from years ago and it's fun to rediscover them and sing them again.

Again, it sounds fine and your voice is doing what it needs to do for this style. My only concerns are pitch accuracy and necessary volume at points, which you have. Everything else is artistic choices.

Thank you, that is encouraging. I really love singing so knowing I'm heading in the right direction is a boost. I'll keep working on it.
