Anyone who's been reading this forum for any decent amount of time knows who the usual suspects are and more often than not, you know what they're gonna say before they do.

This is just for fun guys, don't get angry!

So I'll have a first go at it....

Felipe - What are you doing this for? Are you doing this all by yourself? You won't succeed without a teacher... Get orientation!

Bob - Guys, you don't have to shed weight or lighten up, a narrow vowel will do that and help you go up

Jens - Our voices are not unique or individual, it's all mimicking and imitation of our environment

Daniel - Stop over thinking about it so much, you're complicating matters, just sing!

Ron - Where do I even begin?? :P

Now add your own....

Ronws - That was great because you sang it in your own voice, mentally of course, because that what's singing really is and darn it if this doesn't call for one of my trivias after I flip the next burger on my Texas barbeque and I'm not sure I told you but I'm really tall and like math. I'm on a hiiiiighway to hell ....

Lots of love,

jonpall. :)

hehe on another forum, random dude opens a thread:

"hey here is how I sing today, what do you guys think? Should I continue? Should I quit? I know its bad, but is there potential?"

Answer from one of the members:

You should quit.

Revolted dude: Who are you to decide what I will do with my voice like this? I know its bad but I will learn anyway. bla bla bla

Answer: Yes thats a start.

Calm dude: oh... tnx.

hehehe

Come on, ya'll. Afraid to take cheap shots? Man up ....

Ron - "good job"

I can't believe I am tougher than you guys. Wait a minute, yes I can ...

Ron - "I was born in California" - which is followed by a book-length dissertation that either puts people to sleep or is rated as "enhance interrogation technique" by the DHS.

And, of course, one of my favorite ronws quotes, "I was wrong." Almost equivalent to "you are probably right."

jonpall - "blah, blah, CVT, blah blah, blah, CVT, I hate talking only about CVT, blah, blah, blah, CVT."

random newbie - "my singing stinks" followed by awesome recording ( I hate false or misplaced humility. Disingenuous at the least, fishing for compliments at the worst.)

Random "humble guy" hoping to forestall harsh critique - "I had a cold, I was pitchy, I didn't know the song that well, I think I did a couple of notes okay"

Shut up and sing.

Ron - "My mic couldn't handle it." "I stink at recording and mixing." "I sight-read this." "What do you mean? Exactly where was I pitchy?" And any other assorted defensive remarks I could make. I judge myself harsher than anyone can. which reminds me, "My mother raised me that way." (always blame it on the parents.)

This is kind of fun, even ragging on myself.

:D

Ron - Don't try to sound like Dio, sound like yourself, unless you really do sound like Dio, in which case go ahead and sound like Dio. I approve of that.

Remember, note in the head, nothing in the throat, motion is your abs if necessary, end chapter, close the book, the clouds part and the sun shines and we all get our angels wings, amen, hallelujah and god bless brother Bob from another mother.

Speaking of Dio, I once heard a folk tale that he use to roam the streets at night looking for bacon. Why bacon you ask? well, here in Texas bacon is the 2nd most popular food after allergy medicine and apparently good ol' Ronnie James was very hungry, speaking of hungry that reminds me........

(This goes on for at least 19 more paragraphs, and by the time you reach the 3rd paragraph you wonder how much free time does ronws has on his hands or alternatively how fast can he type?)

Daniel: VOWEL

Felipe: Orientation and Training.

VideoHere: CRY, Support.

Ronws: See Above... It's been covered in previous posts...... Crickets chirping.......

Jens: Mimic everything, we learn from our environment.

Kevin Richards: Rock On

Ken Tamplin: The proof is in the singing.

Robert Lunte: MMMeeeeeeeHHHHH

I can't think of anything else at the moment. I love this forum. So much to be said without using all of those nasty terms that get in the way of actually learning how to sing.

Descriptions of sensations and sounds can only lead to further confusion.

Question is How can you describe a sensation or sound without using terms?

MDEW: That's the way my hillbilly logic sees it. I am not a teacher. :P I can be wrong but so be it. I have been wrong before.

Edit. No disrespect intended or implied...... Respect deserved by all persons depicted in the above statements.

Correction that PITCH,VOWEL, INTENSITY!!!

I was thinking of the thread where there was a lot of banter. It was peppered with your reply of this single word "VOWEL" throughout the thread.

It was quite amusing.
