tinykangaroo
Hi! I just had my first voice lesson today and I was wondering if what we did sounds like a typical first lesson? What we did: - I was given some handouts about breathing that id go over at home - Testing for pitch with scales - Vocal warmup exercises - Started to work on a song of my choice I was given recordings of the voice warmups to work on everyday which i will be doing.. The one thing that kind of surprised me was how my teacher didnt go over breathing techniques with me...does that seem right? Should i be looking for another teacher? Does this sound like a typical first lesson? Ive never taken any before so I wasnt sure what to expect. It was very fun though! Thoughts?
Jens
It's your first lesson, it's impossible to cover every angle with jyst one lesson. How did it feel? What do your gut say?
Felipe Carvalho
Looks good. And Dante is spot on, if it rings well with you, and things seem to be going on a direction you like, jackpot.
