Dream Theater’s ‘To Live Forever’

Hey there, it’s Manolito again,

Yesterday, my fellow students and I covered this song at a cafe: vocals, guitars, and piano.

I’m quite impressed with my sound, because I thought it would sound forced. I found the first verse to be the hardest, but that one came out pretty well. The rest is rather very pitchy, though.

And overall, it’s rather . . . dull? I mean, it could need some punch. It’s not an easy song, because it’s so modal, so almost ostinatic in harmony, very atmospheric. It’s like I hold back in attitude.
