gruemanticus
I have found that when I focus a high note at the very back of the soft palate and then I close something in my nose I am in a whistle register. The slower I close this the more control I seem to have, so I was wondering is this familiar to anyone?
VideoHere
sounds like you found a light "ng" set up.....pinch your nose while you do it....does it stop?
Jens
It's a sensation i also can get, specialy the closing in the nose. I dunno if it's just a sensation moreso than whats happening but if it works well train it into your musclememory
gruemanticus
sounds like you found a light "ng" set up.....pinch your nose while you do it....does it stop? Pinching the nose has no effect whatsoever. I have been doing some throat singing the past couple weeks and have been opening and closing this passage to change the pitch of the harmonics. VideoHere
if you can post a sample.....but without a post.....then i would say you've found a light registration in your head voice...you're learning to keep connected as your folds thin and stretch....you're balancing..... the air pressure with the appropriate level of fold adduction.
