TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted March 2, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 2, 2014 I have always liked your voice and I think of you as the Greg Lake of South America. I like "The Last Song." A dark and somber quality. That hosting service, I notice they offer license of the music. Do you get at least part of that as the artist producing the album or at least that track?
TMV World Legacy Member mvrasseli Posted March 3, 2014 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 3, 2014 Thanks ronws. Actually until today I didn't receive nothing. I have money in my account from comercial licenses, but they say that they just pay when it reaches the minimum to pay, so I never rechead that value( I think 100 euros) and I never received nothing. They said if I exclude my account they "should" pay me the actual money and I'm almost giving a try. TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted March 3, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 3, 2014 So, they are saying if you change your account status to basically not open for free download or review, then they can collect for getting it placed or collect for paid downloads? They should try and get it placed, anyway. The Lordes made a "give-away" video to put on youtube and just won two Grammy awards. Thing is, most any recording artist these days makes more in sales by giving away at least one song because it gets the audience interested in more. In business, it is called a "loss leader." You "give away" one thing and make it up on the back end by selling something, such as the whole album. As for success, if your initial cost was low, such as recording at home, then even if you don't sell a lot, you will be keeping more of what you sell. 50 percent of 100,000 is more than 3 percent of 200,000.
