TMV World Legacy Member JosephtheSinger Posted April 25, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted April 25, 2014 Hello everyone, I would really appreciate your heading over to my youtube channel to give your critique of my work, both on the youtube site (like and subscribe if you like, of course!) and on this forum. I am very serious about this so anything you have to say is valued. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDhO_dIY-u3DsaZo-xWXobg Thank you very much! TMV World Legacy Member gno Posted April 26, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted April 26, 2014 You've got a nice voice. Interesting genre. If you want a critique I would say that you aren't keeping the energy going through the very end of the phrases. Sometimes this leads to singing a little flat as the energy dies off. Keeping the support going and then energy flowing will help your vowels too which sometimes get a little dark. In general I would brighten up the vowels a bit. What are your goals and what do you want to accomplish? My Music:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=897808
TMV World Legacy Member JosephtheSinger Posted April 26, 2014 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted April 26, 2014 Thank you for the compliment and also for the advice about keeping the energy up through the ends of phrases. My general goal is to go as far as I can; see how far this horse can ride! I'm only 23 and I've just started taking lessons, so I've got a little time ahead of me to see if I make some significant improvement.
TMV World Legacy Member Singinglessonsonline Posted April 27, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted April 27, 2014 Hi Joseph, I had a look at your youtube channel and subscribed :-) I am also new to youtube, feel free to have a look at my channel. Firstly, I like your playing and the way you accent the melody of the song. Your singing has a nice tone and you have a good sense of pitch and rhythm :-) One thing that perhaps you might work on is your level of emotional expression in your singing and also one thing I often say to my own students is that you have to put a lot of energy and breath support into your singing. I'am not sure that you know how to make the most of your voice yet...but no matter what level one is at..there's always room for improvement :-) so not to worry. You have a lovely natural approach...well done!! If you would like any help or have any questions, please feel free to ask, All the best, Laura O'Sullivan LTCL http://www.mysinginglesson.net/ Laura O'Sullivan LTCL https://www.youtube.com/user/Lauraosullivanmedia http://www.mysinginglesson.net/
