Hi!

I'm 18 years old and I live in Sweden! I'm not a singer really, I only sing for myself when I play the guitar, as guitar is my main instrument. So I don't have a clue about techniques or anything, so any help is appreciated! I have a cold right now, but I finally got time to record so here it is. Vocaroo doesn't have the best quality as I guess you all know.

Maybe try to record the two separate so you can concentrate on the singing part I'm not an expert, just something to try

The sound of your voice is sweet but a bit rough when you try to hit a higher note longer (I supposed it's your head voice). But that's also what make the characteristic of your voice.

Try record something else for us to see more ;)

I liked it, Tele. Reminded me very much of the original. Sometimes, people will take a listen and not comment at all. Especially if they don't think there is anything that needs to be "fixed." Or the music is not their style. Or, they've heard too much of the song. A few years ago, we had a number of new members and every one of them, or it seemed that way, had to start with a cover of "Hallelujah."

Or, this is song is simply below their radar. If you were covering "Hail to the King" or "Shepherd of Fire" by Avenged Sevenfold, that would probably get a lot of traffic.

I do songs similar to what you are doing, at least more often these days. Singer/songwriter - ish ballads. I get a handful of comments, usually positive or at least helpful.

And, if you have not done so, already, you can have a page in the social network part of this site and share music and videos there. And custom-design your page. Links to music. Plus the site has a media player in the box marked "my music."

All it takes is an email address and a password you choose, just like when you got into this forum.

Great job! There are two things I would suggest you work on:

1. It sounds a bit like you are oversinging it. What I mean by this, is that you make it sound like you are singing rather than it being completely natural. Try speaking the words as though you were talking completely normally, and then sing it like that. Oftentimes in your singing you lose the consonants and the words blur together a bit too much because of it. But if you sing almost as though you're talking the words, that will help.

2. Take a listen to some of the speeds/lengths of the actual song. Maybe you did it for your own personal touch, but the way you sing some words/lines is different than the real thing!

Just small things but it will help a lot I think!
