TMV World Legacy Member Keith Posted June 4, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted June 4, 2014 Switched mics today to the Rode M2, I think it sounds better. I also reduced the amount of reverb. There is compression and some light eq'ing. This is another first attempt. Let me know what you guys think I need to brush up on. www.drop-head.com

TMV World Legacy Member MDEW Posted June 5, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted June 5, 2014 I have to admit that I do not know Kamelots' music But I did enjoy this. I have always liked the sound of your voice. I have also noticed that your vibrato sounds a lot better these days. (It has been a few months since the last time I listened to one of your songs in the critique section). "You need a strong foundation to reach the heights." TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted June 5, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted June 5, 2014 Well done. I can't think of anything to fix. But I like your voice, anyway. I think you sound good on nearly everything you have sung.

TMV World Legacy Member Javastorm Posted June 5, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted June 5, 2014 I really liked this, and there were some raspy onsets and moments elsewhere that reminded me of Roy's tone a lot. [On "Like a shadow" at the very end for example] Really good! "The journey in between what you once were and who you are now becoming is where the dance of life really takes place." -B. TMV World Legacy Member Gneetapp Posted June 5, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted June 5, 2014 Holly smokes Keith! This was really good man! I never heard Kamelot before, so I went to Youtube and listened to this song, and let me tell you, you are doing such a great job in this cover. Of course it needs to be a bit polished, and maybe your voice could be better mixed with the instruments, but other than that I got nothing to say. Congrats and Keep on Rocking!

This way I'll get better educated on this style (Melodic Metal?) and maybe move out a bit from the 80's hard rock!! :P
