vibraaaato
I can sing with vibrato, but sometimes I can't transition from a straight tone to having a little vibrato smoothly. It's easier to sing with straight tone or jump to a lot of vibrato. Are there exercises to help with this? I searched on youtube but most tutorials with "vibrato" teach how to make vibrato, not how to better control it.

It is not 'made', it is 'released' . To 'control' vibrato means to introduce changes into the technique, which (IMO) are undesirable unless you really, really want that straight tone for interpretive or stylistic considerations. One of the very hardest things to do during the course of a note is to change the laryngeal, tongue or pharyngeal muscle balance smoothly from one configuration to another. I hope this is helpful.
