Is my voice 'painful' to listen to at all?

Hey guys, I just started practicing singing last month so I don't think I'm quite ready to sing lead yet, basically my only goal is to be able to sing backup in my band eventually. Just looking for some advice about my voice and what I can do to improve.

Painful? Not at all. Nice tone but a bit quite. Mak sure to feel the air in your stomach and to breath deeply there. Train that.

First advice: dont stop singing and having fun with it while staying tension free in the throat (gotta watch out for tensions while singing the harmonies, too easy to strain there in my experience).

Second Advice: Learn to sing high notes with a good teacher or a good vocal programm. If you want to eventually sing lead you most certainly will sing high notes also. And also if lead is your dream dont be afraid to go for it. It took two years for me to build up the confidence to say: Yeah, I wanna sing lead! Now!

I could have learned so much in these years.
