Hey

Here's Metal Meltdown by Judas Priest, in its original key.
I did the vocals, played bass & guitar & produced it.
My good friend Anthimos Manti did the solo and Jo Doe
programmed the drums (info below).

Let me know what you think

Cheers,
Than

PS. Here's a link to the DIs if you want to use them to sing over

Very good job, man! The main problem that I can hear is that you sing it in a falsetto voice rather than in a head-based mixed voice which could add more edge and meat. Another issue is that you climb the notes, not just hit them. IMO the cause is that you use too much air in the sound.

Jag, thanks for replying.

I am not sure if this is falsetto (the King Diamond high pitched sound). In the room it sounds

like a powerful raspy head voice. I'll try to send you a portion of the vocal track for you to listen to and tell me.

In all honesty though, I don't think there is any way I can get more meat up there - I know

other people can - especially the piece "about to explode", that's the top of my range nowadays.

But I agree with you about not "hitting" the notes straight away, I could - and should have- taken

more time to get them right but it's an honest performance, it's what I can do any day.

In the meantime, I'll work on compressing/conserving air more and try to add some more meat in there,

assuming that's your advice ?

Many thanks for your opinion and suggestions!

Thanks for taking the time to check it out Jag.

I am glad we agree it's head voice and not falsetto.

I guess I must be more confident about getting my voice more clear in the mix

rather than "hide" it because of my vocal insecurity.

BTW. Here's the file I sent to Jag, where you can hear exactly what the voice sounds like

Yeah, Thanos, I think it was either a post and/or Robert's video that mentioned something like nearly a week of posts might not make it. They had to cut off at a certain point to manage a finite data transfer.
