MB20
Does anyone have any information they can pass on about screaming technique? I have scoured the internet and other resources and still don't seem to be any better off :/ I have watched the melissa cross dvds however, they don't seem to explain any actual technique, just the types of scream. At the moment when screaming in songs, I'm kind of just opening my throat as wide as possible and "overloading" my head voice, however this can give me an unpleasant feeling in my throat and I don't want to continue doing this if it will cause permanent damage. It also doesn't sound like a proper distorted scream but more like distortion on a pitched note. I am looking to be able to do high screams mainly but also the low and mid-range stuff. Examples of the kind of vocal sounds i would like to achieve are bands like Architects, Periphery, Lamb of God, BMTH etc. thanks :D
