Hello! My name is Elvis Osmanovic and i come from Croatia :)

Ive been playing guitar fro 7 years now and only discovered that SINGING is my real passion just a year ago...

I have never had any training and for the last year ive only been siniging as best as i can...but recently

ive started to get a bit more serious about it so after some time of lurking i decided to join your community :)

Tech stuff:

Singing: 1 year (like a newb) and last 2 months ive started watching tutorials and stuff

Goal: getting 4 Pillars of Singing and doing the course (planin on making my own "singing journey thread" once i get 4pillars)

Voice type and range: i guess Tenor ranging from G2-A4 (G4 with relative ease)

Song Genre: i love Rock/Metal (Bruce Dickinson, DIO, Coverdale) Bassically everything with high walining belts and warm "cool" bluesy lows :))

https://app.box.com/s/gga5ptl0l21ls04huapyhxz7amrhs0t1   - Zakk Wylde - Way Beyond Empty Cover by Me...just so u guys hear me sing a bit ;))

P.S. this isnt my "best" try.. this is kinda how i generally sing so i didnt make any special efforts so you guys can hear my AVG singing :P

You've got a good voice and a really good start. And you should get some kind of recognition for being the first person (at least as much as I can remember) to cover a Zakk Wylde song. That's way cool, right there.

Have you read his memoirs and his struggles to make BLS happen? It's an education in the music industry. And don't drop a #2 on the tour bus. It's a non-vented tank.

Hahah ill be sure to remember that one xD But no i have not read it but i sure will (im kinda reading fan, mostly fantasy and sf tough xD)

Why do you say this? Some of the best metal vocalists (Geoff Tate, James LaBrie, Andre Matos, etc...) have bright timbres and they are legends.  B)

And I would say yes, it definitely is possible to develop grit/distortion in a healthy way, although I would go with singing "cleanly" first, then work on distortion later.

What i meant was actually mellow and since the lack of a better term ill say "sweet" xD when i sing "temple of the king" by dio.. it kinda feels lackluster even tough i add some rasp...

Welcome mate! Singing is a such a great thing and many singers come out of first being guitarist, me included. 4 Pillars is a superb and complete course. Get it and stay consistent, that's the key with anything in singing and in life is to stick at it everyday. Results can come slow and steady but stay the course and you will achieve your goals. Keep us up date with you progress. Also if you don't have a youtube account get one so you can post up clips of what you're doing.
