TMV World Legacy Member Selena Posted February 10, 2015 TMV World Legacy Member Posted February 10, 2015 I'm doing my talent show and I want to sing but i don't know what to sing so I'm just trying to get some honest feedback in what song is best for me.
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted February 11, 2015 TMV World Legacy Member Posted February 11, 2015 A song that fits well in your voice, as far as range, timbre, style of presentation. Man, that was easy. Give me another question.

One way could be picking a song whose vocalist's timbre is similar to yours, then play that song on a guitar and move a capo up and down a few frets till you find a comfortable and good sounding key for you voice.

And that is how it is done, professionally. From a producer I was watching in a free audit course. He will have a singer try song, matched for that singer, in a few different keys until he hears the right tone. It is not always about the lowest or highest note, it is about the right note. Or tone, precisely. 1
