VideoHere
question for the "pros" who have reputation points no less that 24 (lol, just kidding). but to the instructors, if you had to pick only 3 vocal exercises, which would you say would be the "most important" per the vocal goals listed below? 1. full voice range extension 2. strenghtening head voice 3. breath support 4. diction 5. resonance much thanks in advance for any help. bob
jonpall
I'm no vocal coach but my favorite and most helpful exercise, I think, has been Jamie Vendera's first version of the full voice siren. Where you feel a strong resonance in your soft palate and slide up on a "yay" one octave and then sustain the top note for a while. Then you increase the starting point step by step and then you gradually go down again (when you can't go higher). It has helped with power, range and rasp and lots of other things. ronws
I missed this thread earlier and maybe I shall catch some flack for raising it from the dead. ( Lazarus! Come forth!) I could only pick two. Resonance and breath support. I think if you get those two, the others fall in line with it.
