apadravya
I just found out my range, its the F# just below middle C through to the B flat above middle C. Thats a pretty limited range, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any singers or bands that sing like that?
ronws
There are number of singers who have made a lucrative career out of two octaves. And there are singers that cover 5 octaves, too. And they are a success, too. But the octave coverage is not the secret to success. Writing songs in a distinctive voice that gets stuck in everyone's head, that's the secret to success. "I was born in a cross-fire hurricane And I howled at my ma in the driving rain, But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas! But it's all right. I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash, It's a gas! Gas! Gas! I was raised by a toothless, bearded hag, I was schooled with a strap right across my back, But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas! But it's all right, I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash, It's a gas! Gas! Gas! I was drowned, I was washed up and left for dead. I fell down to my feet and I saw they bled. I frowned at the crumbs of a crust of bread. Yeah, yeah, yeah I was crowned with a spike right thru my head But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas! But it's all right, I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash, It's a gas! Gas! Gas! Jumping Jack Flash, its a gas Jumping Jack Flash, its a gas Jumping Jack Flash, its a gas Jumping Jack Flash, its a gas Jumping Jack Flash " Two octaves, and that's stretching it. Mostly baritone. And it had regular airplay rotation for decades.
joshual
So you have the perfect range lol. To people only melodies and tone are important, nobody cares if you can or can't sing a C6 ;-)
VideoHere
So you have the perfect range lol. To people only melodies and tone are important, nobody cares if you can or can't sing a C6 ;-) that's right. there are other important things tatgo into making a great singer than just range. range will increase your versatility, but it's not a mandatory requisite to the degree you might think. resonance dynamics (loud/soft prowess) breath control emotion*** tone inflection *** emotion! big one
