yogic ideas and nostril breathing

Yogis research distilled over centuries claim that the left nostril breathing bringing calmness, peacefulness, tranquileness; and right nostril breathing brings excitability, energy, nervousness. In my experience, I find this to be true. I was born with a left-deviated septum, and have lots of energy and excitability.

For this reason, yogis developed all kinds of left and nostril breathing methods. (You can find many of these on the web).

What are your thoughts on left and right nostril breathing as it relates to singing?

If you have a deviated septum, on which side, and how do you think it affects your personality and singing?
