Thanks for listening and comment Pekka!

Hey Folks I just want to share a new song of mine...it's an R'n'B track with a rap verse by a friend... it's my first attempt to sing in my own language (Italian) since I always sing in English. So, even if Italian is my mother tongue, I had some difficulties in pronunciation, especially in the consonants and some vowels as "Ah"... I hope you enjoy it and feel free to comment if you want...here is "Niente è per sempre!" (Nothing is forever!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DGcfa7N5dI

I just wanted to add something about how I used my studies with TVS singing the hard part of this song.
For the chorus I had a low compression sometimes a little breathy so there’s no formant shifting going on. During the verse I had a medium compression, going from edging to curbing. In the first line at 1:43 mark (They walk and talk at me) you could hear the first key in A modifying toward “ae†to tune to F1/H2 configuration, F2/H4,
while WALK and TALK move toward a curbing sound modifying to something like “aw†(in Italian I think of a little bit closed “A†of “ciAoâ€) going into a F1/H2, F2/H3 configuration.
During the bridge at 2:40 you could hear a series of high C’s, so I wanted to have a ringing harder sound. I had a stronger compression and a stronger support compared to the other parts of the song. I started the phrase with a quick “quack and release onset†(wE) to get in the proper voice placement, then to retain an F1/H2 configuration I modified the vowels toward an open A (as when you say a nasty MAMMA MIA with a lot of twang) to tune with 2nd and 3rd harmonic (walking like “WAHLKING LAHKEâ€), see the graphic taken from the word "like" https://www.dropbox.com/s/wv39vmaapr8l447/like.png?oref=e&n=399830535
Notice at 2:48 the transition from an edging metallic sound to a curbing one during a sustained G (night), modifying toward a central vowel to align the formants with the harmonics. Just my two cents on how I put into practice formant shifting.

I'm sorry Robert, I don't... I've never taken lessons in Cagliari so I'm not into the singing teacher scene down here..

Robert thank you for adding my song on your playlist, that's really nice of you! Yes I'm from Cagliari in Sardinia (Italy). I've been training religiously since July with your program..and yes it's not just for rockers and belters! Thank you for your suggestions, I will keep on working...

Hello everybody, I'm Giacomo... I just want to share a track I did with some friends of mine, it's an original funky tune. It's my first recording since I started training with The 4 Pillars last July...which by the way, is a great vocal program, it really helped me to have constancy in my performances. Thank you for listening and for your thoughts,
Giacomo
My new unreleased song... first attempt to sing in my own language!

Thanks for the advice coach! Singing in Italian is like speaking in a foreign language for me...it drags me into a heavier chestier configuation that is more difficult to control... more training for me
