  1. Hi Tom, you sound pretty darn good. I am impressed that you sing with your natural voice and are not pushing to reach a higher range than you would be comfortable... My advice is to keep singing and you will improve. "Red River Valley" and "Adeste Fideles" I do hear some pitch issues... When you hear your playback can you hear the spots where you are pitchy? If you can, then you should correct those areas. " Moonlight Bay" is very pitchy...."They didn't believe me" is better; but areas of continued pitch issues. How is your hearing in general? I have developed a product that might be able to help you if you have pitch problems. Its quite effective. www.vamacoustics.com The answer to your question above..yes, your voice is worth training; you have more potential than you think.
  2. HI Gerry, pretty great light show! Vocally you need to be a bit more engaging...I can hear that there are qualities in you that are stored away deep...you need to let go of your fear and show people what you have...Practice vocal scales and stick with a comfortable range that produces more texture to your voice so that you can sing with more soul.. Keep it up...practice more at home...Warm up your voice before a show for at least 15 minutes; do scales... I saw you cup your ear in a video to hear yourself...you may want to try a vocal acoustic monitor at rehearsals, keep it in case you need it live vamacoustics.com Keep in touch and thanks for sharing. 3. I listened, like the sound, I enjoyed Western star, some slight pitch issues in I think it was the beginning part of Best Friends... You have nice rich tones, the vocals are smooth, too smooth to me..the words tend to mold together a bit to much with not eough clarity and enunciation...I would prefer hearing you sing with a bit more clarity... Very nice songs overall...try to change it up a bit; you tend to have the same feel and vocal sound every song, long drawn out words etc... You have talent...keep trying to get better. BC
  4. Hi Vince, its actually a very good song, cool lyrics...You do a decent job with it..the effects are a bit much for me; but it seems suitable for the type of beat and feel. The vocals to me lack a bit of confidence...I noticed you are from Spain? Is that correct? Is Spanish your native language? The gift of speaking never mind singing another language is terrific. I have a song that I sing in French and really enjoyed doing that. I am sure performing this song live for your fans you sound and project differently because you have support of your fans. I believe taking notes of what others have critiqued is wise and work on it. as for range, that comes with practice...you need to continue to work on your breathing..it sounds to me that you have it, its just a little locked up. As you reach for your crecendo's at the end of your song, I can hear what you are referring to about the range not being where you want it. Its not bad. Your voice is fine; you just need to build up some endurance. Jaime Vendera has a book called Raise Your Voice www.thevoiceconnection.com, maybe do a online lesson with him through skype...Its better if one of the vocal coaches on this forum see you live and watch your body language as you sing to best determine the right road to follow. You are in good hands. Byron
  5. Hi there, I listened to your take on Tears of Heaven. I am going to critique this; but I want to hear from you your own thoughts of the way you sound to you... To me, you are singing in a higher register than you have the ability for at the moment. You need to work on your breathing technique which is associated with singing with the diaphram...You can sing this song right now 100% oercent better at your current skill level by not singing it with as high range starting point. Eric Clapton uses a lower voice, I heard a similar low register about 35/36 seconds into your song. Its at that moment I realized if you tried singing the song in the lower register I heard, it is still in tune with your music and I think you will enjoy singing it much more and less straning on your voice. let me know what yu think and we'll go on from here. Byron
