  3. RHan,

Hope you dont mind ill be a bit tougher.

You have a nice timber to your voice. I would still try to sing it in the higher pitch.

A major issue I heard is that you are not singing in the right rhythm. You are too fast compared to the melody.

All in all, I am sure she will be delighted to hear it this way as well!

I have a friend who covered this song, and did an amazing job. Click on the link below to hear.

Anyways, Hope I wasnt too harsh. Keep it up buddy & Good luck!

  4. Hey Ron, thanks for the input.

Actually in the last week, I finally got accepted to ACUM which is an organization for Music and Lyrics writer, and since I had a few songs played on the local radio recently, then I was accepted. Anyways, now as I have a login/passwd to their site, I can add new songs for free. I add the text, add an mp3 file, give the name of the song, the musicians who worked the arrangements and it is copywrited locally and internationally.

So for my original stuff, I have that covered. Thanks. ;)

  5. Hey man. Welcome to the forum.

I think you can start by recording with less reverb. Its really difficult to review your voice this way.

All in all, anyone can sing with the right training.

For your genre, I highly recommend the 4 pillars of singing which is the website owner's program. Robert Lunte goes into extreme singing including screams, distortion etc.. which seems like that is your style.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Hey Guys.

Didn't know where to post it, so thought this is the most suitable category.

Anyways, I am reading all over, that uploading a cover song, (in my case, purchasing a playback and recording my vocals to it) is considered copyright infringement. Even if you play your own instrument. I have also read that youtube has closed accounts with covers.. On the other hand, I have noticed tons and tons of covers being uploaded, without bringing up names, a vocal coach that for his vocal examples does covers of all the great singers, and we also have a lot more users on this forum that have uploaded great covers with their vocals.

Before I start uploading covers, I wanted to ask what is the word on the street regarding this? Am I in danger of have my youtube account closed if I do this? Doesn't make sense to me, but this is what I am reading.

Would love to hear your input in this regards.

  7. Hey guys.

So, in Israel, they came up with an interesting format for a Televised Singing competition. Ill try to explain what is going on there.

They have a stage, and on the stage there is a huge screen separating the crowd/judges from the performer.

The performer starts to sing, acapella, or with his own instrument, and then comes the interesting part. There is a smartphone app that this show created, and each and everyone who downloads it, can say yes or no to this individual performing. Each time someone votes yes, his facebook profile photo is shown on this huge screen in front of the singer which separates him from the crowd and 4 judges. Anyways, once he receives 60% of the votes, (each judge on the table gives 15% when he votes yes.) the screen rises, and he is in the competition. When the screen rises, then a full band of instruments joins his singing, and then the crowd can see him.

Now.... If he doesnt hit this 60% mark.... He goes home. Never saw the judges, never got any feedback, and knows that the world saw him. He just walks away.. Kind of cruel, but as a reality stunt I think will work well for the producers.

All this is done live, for the first time tonight.

In my opinion, this has the potential to be a world wide hit. I am assuming they will start selling it abroad very soon.

What are your thoughts about this?
