  1. Hi Rose,

I think you did quite a good job

I feel that you would need to work on that lower note, it seemed quite awkwardly placed for you and just uncomfortable :(

The high note on "seemed" at the end, didn't seem to fit in for me just personally. I think it was just very airy and a lot less power then the rest of the notes.

Also are you jutting your jaw when you go for the higher notes? Just wondering because I have been told that isn't the best thing to do.

Regardless I think it was a very nice rendition, just a little bit airy is all and with a few hiccups, but whats singing without those hiccups :P

  2. After listening to Be there, I didn't find your voice to have a nasal quality. I felt as though it was being sung quite far back in the throat

In keep the home fires burning, the only bit I could feel was nasal was the top note, otherwise it wasn't nasal. I think possibly it is because you're pushing quite heavily or it sounds that way, may just be a dramatic aspect of your voice.

Also don't take my opinion on it, however I find your voice very calming and not nasal at all :)

  3. Hi Zoe

Now firstly I will say i'm no professional however I love classical music. Your dictation was quite eloquent firstly and foremost making the piece enjoyable :)

I feel that it is simply your needing to practice more, singing in an opera style can take so long. The voice doesn't sound thin to me but quite strong and direct which is pleasant to listen to. Are you a soprano or a mezzo soprano? Could you be singing in the vocal fach? (not saying you are just asking)

Altogether I think that it was quite a pretty piece and you should be very happy with it, remember that opera singers voices take ages to develop :)
