  1. Hey george, Yes I've heard your cover before! haha, as well as the run to the hills and the conjuring cover. You really seem to have a great technique down and have a very distinct vocal timbre.

That's the thing, I do always breathe from the diaphragm, but whenever I'm in the E4 - G#4 range, it's sort of like i'm in a constant belt, takes a lot of angst to it, I wonder what I'm doing wrong, I can feel all the action happening in the throat here. Is this what building the bridge and developing a mix voice/middle voice is all about ?

I feel the same way when I'm singing songs like master of puppets, holy wars or enter sandman.

  2. I am so sorry about uploading portions of songs rather than the whole songs ron, it's just that it's raining very heavy in my area for the past week, non-stop, the roads are flooded and the rain shows no sign of slowing down, and it causes random electricity fluctuations and weird static noises to pop into the recording, so I just have to stop when that starts occurring. I promise it won't happen next time.

It's just that I don't know how I can be able to 'dirty' up my voice a bit, distortion/rasp/grit whatever. Does it really sound good like this ?

Whenever I sing in this area it feels like a constant belt, I'm really beefing up my chest voice to be able to sing here.

  3. Hey guys, I posted the intro cover of the immigrant song here earlier, and I was about to finish it off, but I started fiddling around with some other songs first, and I randomly chose Ace Of Spades, I just feel so bad after covering it, even though I am singing in pitch, it just sounds awful, at least to me. Is it because my voice just sounds bad.. naturally ? Most of the songs I listen to (Megadeth/Metallica/Slayer) have singing a lot near the bridge, like around

E4 - G#4. And I've noticed it takes an effort for me to sing here, It's easier to sing below this area, or above this, but right there it just sounds horrible, and it's easy to tell I'm pushing it, I don't know.

Please listen to it and give me a general critique, tell me if I'm doing something wrong. :(
