I'm working on my enunciation hard because ohhh boy, I used to fall back in my throat a little bit, mumble words , speak quiet and + I'm native Lithuanian. :D

Your link is a video and I have limited data allowance so sorry cant afford to watch it

But I am a native speeking English person and I too worked a lot on my enunciation, and I did a lot of tongue twisters which I have now finished doing and I think it helped me out a lot. they recon that tongue twisters are great for people learning new languages

That definition sucks in my opinion. It makes no sense. If someone trains to become really good at something; singing, gymnastics, dancing, investing, painting, etc... they have not developed talent? This definition seems to suggest that you can't develop or enhance inherent talent. If that is their meaning, it's absurd. There is inherent talent and there is developed / trained talent.

Neither of which you won't be able to capitalize on if you don't train regardless.

The word to me is not a real word it is just a made up word, made up by our masters so they can lie to use like they lie to us about everything ells in life!

The teacher I have now (Matthew) is a professional baritone opera singer and has all London bachelor degrees and everything. Any way I was talking to his mom and she mentioned someones name who was a talented X-factor finalist (cant remember his name have no interest in silly little pantomime shows like that) but if your a fan of that kind of thing then this guy is now some kind of celebrity. Any way this talented armature who had no previous experience or training (so the show claimed) had trained with Matthew and sang in the same opera house as Mathew for 4 years prior to this. I mean you could just not make up a bigger pile of :QuestionFox:then that really could you. Never-mind.

Well on the bright side of things. this false pretence of 99.9% of people don't have talent when infact 99.9% of people are capable of learning to sing well. Keeps out competition;)

But there again this is most probably why the OP (like so many other newbe's) will not return

Do you want to learn how to sing? It's not something that most people can just do. They practice. Talent is developed.

Hum; let see; what dose talent actually mean

The Cambridge English dictionary states it

(someone who has) a natural ability to be good at something, especially without being taught:
    http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/talent

So I guess that would mean no one on hear has any talent what so ever

  4. Jarom; I don't want to sound disrespectful or rude as I know you are a professional musician

But all your songs sound the same! and without you singing something a bit different with a different melody I just cant see you hitting the big time

Have you tired covering/ practicing other artists that you have done nothing like before, songs that you never though about before that my give you some new inspiration and new art.

  5. CVT??

Tone/ timbre I am sorry to bouth of you but I have no idea what you are talking about.

I sang the same scale exersise today with out any problems and I do not see what tone will make any differance to my ill voice I sang with yesterday

If you are convinced this is a tone issue then I will upload another clip of me singing scales when I can manage to sing the entire piano at some opint over the weekend

  6. But what he said after was; if you keep practicing these exercises from one to the other and back again,
then you will have the resonance of each vowel shared in every other vowel so all the vowels will be equally resonance
So I guess what he is say there is he is not just only singing 5 vowels solo (like I was on the above exercise) or the color vowels as Rob puts it
But he is singing any vowel in between the said given 5 or 10 vowels

So I take it you wont be buying tickets to go see him sing at the opera then:lol:

  7. So after I sang to someone I was told I needed to work on my oh and ow vowels as they are  causing my tone to accidentally darken
So I have done what was recommended but decided to sing 10 different vowels of ee, ih, eh, a, ah, aw, uh, oh, ou, oo, instead of singing the recommended oh and ow
And sang them to the pitch of this piano/ organ app which I recorded the notes from this link http://www.kongregate.com/games/buttonbass1/player-organ

At the bottom of the page is an image of the piano. And inside the red lines of that piano are the notes I have sang
I started at middle C (presuming middle C is the middle key in the piano) and worked my way up a note and down a notes at a time
I will do more notes at a later stage though

The links I have listed below are what I have done, the first link of each note is ee-ah and the second link of each note is aw-oo

But I have worked hard at this doing each vowel at each note many many times
Do you see there is much more work to be done?

    Thanks

  8. Apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forum (as I am sure it is) but I am sure there is a correct forum for Robert Lunte's Four Pillars. Its just that I can't find it. So I am sure the mods will move this in due course

I got "The Four Pillars last week and have just started on it but I am not sure I have started in the right place
I started from the what looks like the beginning until I ran into some stuff that is a bit more advanced
Well I stated with opening up my courses, then modules, then prepare for your TVS training, then I got to the dropdown of "the four pillars of singing download work out files"
And I downloaded and have been playing the first 2 sets.

First set was lift up pull back. And I think I am supposed to sing from one octane to the next one up then go into my head voice
So hear is a link to me trying to copy the video :
    https://app.box.com/s/vckhva09yqffwz91fjebe77cqrnk4672

And the second set of Track and release. Well I just can not do it! doing hum hum hung, it just turns into a nasty hummy exercise that leaves me breathless

Actually, I am done with this thread. Jarom suggested the song from "Sound of Music" and 2 cats called it rubbish. So, if the help being offered here is considered rubbish, I can better spend my time elsewhere.

Well yes the song is rubbish and Jarom agreed, but he said it was a good little training exercises

I don't know you might get a hard on from it listening to it via vinal record on  a saturday  nigh in front of the fire in a rocking chair with a sweet sherry

But to me i did not get much of that at all

I managed to download and convert it to .mp3 and then play in truck today and I will start a new thread soon as to where I am going

I asked before, but I think you missed the question. What are your goals with singing? Are you trying to develop some sort of career? Do you just want a decent voice? Do you want more than that?

Well I though of it as I though I could sing but lets put it to the pross (so hear are my uploads)

Yes I know there is good money in it to stand up as a pro on a live gig for the night and cover over peoples work and thus your chances of pulling are higher then anyone ells

But if it is going to cost $1000s then I will need to reconsider

You just could really use somebody to tell you every time you're off-pitch and on-pitch, just like my teacher did, while they're right in front of you. Then you'll start to recognize things and you'll be able to feel it.

I can't tell you exactly how much, but I think your pitch would be at the point I'm talking about in less than 2 years, with serious practice. Might seem long to a beginner, but people train for decades. I think @ronws up there has been singing at least 20 years. Think about it. When in your life are you ever going to stop singing?

Can no one tell by listening to the tracks I have uploaded where I am out of key

Are these lessons going to cost me 1000's of dollars

  12. Sorry dude but I think I am still inside my subscription time for review my singing and still I can not find that button for start new topic

So could you please move this post to the relevant thread

And also I wish to reply to this thread

As I have sang this song myself (in a deeper voice then Jerry) and I wish to comment and have review
