  1. Keith, great stuff again man. Your voice suits Kamelot well, which is why I guess you keep singing it! Not a critique per se, but a curious inquiry: You have a very efficient singing style from what I can hear, i.e. you seem to get your amplitude by way of maximizing your resonance. This is something I'm working on also. I'm curious to hear how it would work if you gave it some more stick, really lean into it with a truck load of support. I'm sure this would present challenges (maintaining that balance through the passagio.... maybe it would raise your bridging point a little..). What are your thoughts? I listened to the original of that clip, and that's the only difference in approach I really heard. He's just giving it a little more stick really. Sounds like you're waiting to pull the trigger.... but just hold it back a little. Is it a conscious thing? (pull the trigger man! give it hell!) Sounds awesome, and I look forward to the next installment.
  2. I just had another listen to be sure.... you start somewhere between C and C sharp. We could say a rather sharp C, or a flat C sharp... I'd say closer to C sharp though. Anytime my ear goes down the toilet, and I'm feeling uncertain (does happen if you've been listening for a long time, sort of like when words lose their meaning if you say them too many times and over-think them!) I go to the piano and find the notes. Play the track and play the vocal melody at the same time on the piano to make sure I've got it right. Then you have something concrete to work with when you're doing it acapella.
  3. A whole step too high on the verses there. Halford starts the melody on B (5th of E which is the underlying tonality), whereas you cranked it up to C sharp.... Will be even easier to sing when you drop it down ;)
  4. Ahhh!!! nice work man. Another person taking this one on! well done. What's interesting, is we both overpitched the verses! (somewhere lurking on this forum is my attempt...) no idea why... perhaps the song's epicness inherently makes you want to sing higher and higher, and with more balls than ever before? Anyway, well done! I liked your tone, although occasionally the diction got a little vague here and there... but I guess with this kind of song, it's kind of an occupational hazard looking forward to the next one!
  5. Great stuff Keith! I've been listening to your uploads a little while now. You have a beautiful round, dark timbre in your headvoice developing there. Something about your sound gives that illusion of being potentially limitless in range.... (which I know not to be the case, having read other posts of yours where you complain about being frustrated by not having the range you want yet.... lol). Point being, I think your voice is on its way to being mega! That's just my 2 cents worth, and in Australia, 2 cents doesn't go very far.... keep it up man, great stuff!
  6. To jest bardzo dobrze man, awesome. You should be very proud of that effort! I heard glimpses of different influences in your singing.... but ultimately you have succeeded in singing as yourself. Tell me, does your band play live? what's the back story there? how long have you guys been going etc?
  7. Man, awesome cover! as everyone has said, an uncanny mimicking of Adams' tone. Crazy. I have a question though, which you may be qualified to answer based on your excellent reproduction of his sound... His bridging.... Listening to his voice it's so hard to tell where he bridges to head (late or early..?) I suspect early, and he just has full, killer low head tones. What's your take on it? one could be fooled into thinking he takes chest way high... but I suspect not.
