Thanks! I'll keep that in mind :)

Loveovelove how different it is Neat twist
One thing - I would have preferred if you'd done either harmonies instead of just doubling up your voice or not double it at all. Makes it sound a little over-edited, just my two cents
Great job :D

Hello everyone
I had the chance to perform a set of original songs for a local festival. The above is a link to one of them. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated, whether on vocals or lyrics
Thanks!

Thank you both for the great feedback I'll be taking both opinions into account from now on and trying to apply them to future performances

It's a little past Christmas now, but this is a song I sang for a recital
Any, tips comments or critiques are welcome.
(Before anyone says anything I am aware of the couple flat notes i hit at the beginning :/ I think it was an issue of my needing to be more confident going into the notes, but any comments on the matter are welcome )
Thanks!!

MDEW,
Thanks. That's definitely a good tip and something I will take into account for future performances

Soo...
I performed this a while back for a comptetion - and I feel like it was a little static. Does anyone have any specific tips on diversifying my performances?
Or any tips of comments at all

That was good. Great job and a beautiful rendition.
If I had to say one thing as a critique...and it's not even a critique...more of a personal taste thing, it would be accent.
I mentioned to someone else I have this thing about accents I don't mind country music or if a song is meant to sound country and southern accents are placed in there. That's allowed! But if it's by accident then it sometimes doesn't fit. I don't know where you are from and if you even have a southern accent but on words with an "I" (an American I like the sound of "eye" not the Italian ee sound) you are giving in the ole' southern sounding "ah." Only in a couple of spots but that is why I point it out. It stood out to me because it didn't match the rest of the song which was not with any accent. I heard it very strong on the word minor at the beginning. "The minor fall." You say the mahner fahl." Unless you were over shading the vowel?" Either way it was too strong. There was another word later "Tied." Tahd.
Like I said...minor points but as a listener it stands out for me because either the whole song is that way, and then it's ok because I then consider it a country version; or one or two words only for which I think of it as bad pronunciation.
But I have to close by saying that was really sung well
Thank you. I'll take that into account for future performances

Hi
This is a live performance I did of the amazing song Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.
Any tips, comments or critiques are welcome

Excellent job, she seems to have a beautiful voice.
If you post a higher quality version, I can give some critique, but it's hard to pinpoint things when the vocals come though the camera a little tinny:/

You have a beautiful voice. Now you can take it a step further: don't be afraid be operatic (your vowels should be long and tall) and careful it doesn't get too breathy.
Like I said though, stunning talent. From a fellow young vocalist, keep at it

Good job I agree that the doubling could be cut back a bit, but it does give it a neat touch Keep singing (and playing)

Freudian slip?
More like me being careless with spellcheck
Haha :D

Dont worry about improving that specific recording. If I were you, I would find a karaoke version of the song on youtube, and then record vocals on it using your computer. Maybe add some reverb/delay to make it sound nice.
The recording you posted shows your talent, and I think that was your purpose. Now taking it further and start vocal training unless you have already, and put 110% of yourself into the music. Your young and you can reach the stars if you put the effort.
Good luck!!!
Thanks again I already have some training but I defiantly have a long time to continue to improve and pursue my vocals.

Nice job Julia, although I wish the sound quality of the recording was better.
Thank you I wish it were better too, but it was recorded on a digital camera in a school gym, which probably isn't the best combination for sound quality, and I'm not sure how to improve it.

Julia, I really liked your voice. Keep it up girl!
Elieenmary... No singing there.. What the heck was that?
Thank you so much :)

Wow. You have an excellent voice No tips here, just keep doing what you're doing

Excellent singing. Don't worry about what you thought was flat. It was live. Those things happen. What's important is that you didn't stop.
Thank you so much :)

You have neat texture and great power This isn't my niche so I can't really offer any constructive criticism, but good luck with any future endeavors :)

Your voice is very pretty Could use a bit of refining, though, which lesson could help you with. I don't want to get too specific because I'm far from an expert, but it seems to me like you're up in your head a bit when you sing, which makes your voice sound a bit thinner than it could otherwise be Try using your chest voice a little more and that will really bring out your best sound. Good luck in any future singing endeavors :)

Hi
This is my first post on here This is a version of over the rainbow I performed in a school play.
Please please please excuse the flat note at the end. That doesn't usually happen to me so I'm not sure what was up that night :S I think I just got a bit over confident and then let go. Anyways...
Julia
More original stuffs... critique, please :)
