  1. So I love trying out different genres and pop is definitely one of my favorite.... would you say my voice suits the genre? Feedback and brutal honesty are welcome, it's the only way I can get better (along with getting vocal lessons which I will soon )
  2. Thanks for the kind words buddy, I honestly wasn't expecting that! Getting singing lesson, proper recording equipment and and the skills to use them are my next steps.
  3. Damn you need to show me how and what you did to produce/mix the cover!!
  4. I think it's obvious that you need practice, but it's also very obvious that you have lots of potential. You lack some technique and yet your nice tone shines through... that says a lot about what you are capable of doing if you keep working and strengthening your voice. I liked the phrasing and your vowels, but it's breathy and lacking power in my opinion. Use your diaphragm more. Keep it up man
  5. Id like to get some feedback, everytime I do, it really helps. It's nice to know what others actually think of your voice, so don't be affraid to be brutally honest. 7TSmidFZpcY
  6. Thanks man, this will definitely help! I also felt like I was getting better in the end. I feel like maybe my tendency to overthink things while I'm singing makes me nervous and drives me off-track. It seems to me that I'm much better when I just let go and sing it out. Thanks again!
  7. Oh okay nice! You haven't used a pitch-correcting device? I could've sworn I'd heard some in the Maps rendition! Or does Audacity have one?
  8. Omg the My Immortal Cover is enough to make me fall in love with you!!!! It's one of my all-time favourites and your voice is just too lovely, and not in a childish way. I know what you mean by ''immature'', I have the same feeling about mine, but it might be just the natural tone of your voice.
  9. I listened to your ''Gone, Gone, Gone'' cover... you have mad potential you just need to work on breathing, pitch and overall singing... I defintiely would not give it up. That ''For you-ouu, for-you-ou'' etc. sounded really great! Keep it up!
  10. What did you use as recording equipment and programs? I'm curious! I found the Maps one pretty interesting it had an arabic/indian twist to it lol liked it
  11. Pretty nice man, I love Mayday Parade... I feel like you can do a lot better though I don't know why it's the feeling I get. Also, it's pretty clear to me that you have the range to do those songs in a higher key!! Try it out higher :)
  12. Man this singing thing is hard. I also feel so inconsistent in my performances... Here's my take on The Fray's How To Save A Life. I know there's plenty of wrong in terms of breathing.. and even pitch-wise I'm sometimes flat and sharp. So feel free to give your feedback, it's only going to help me get better..!!
  13. Thanks! I knew the latter but not the former. As for content for your website, I don't know it seems to be off to a good start!!
  14. Thank you very much and yes I do love this song! The phrasing was indeed done on purpose! I really would like to improve my articulation though, it's hard to get the best feedback on such a poor recording device. No I never had any voice lessons, but I'm totally looking forward to getting some quality lessons. (I'm mostly self-taught through youtube and google). You are right about the falsetto, I get the same feeling now that you've pointed it out. Thank you so much for the input it's really helping.
  15. Dude I really loved it!! So soothing. Do you have other songs you can show us?
  16. Thanks man... It's such a long and frustrating journey to get where one wants to be vocally... or at least it is for me!
