Holy moly this is BADASS. GREAT job.

i learnt those basics for mixing and mastering from here: http://www.heroicrecordings.com/essentials-good-mixing-mastering/
but for mastering part, i use izotope presets because its kinda confusing for me to play around with those effects.
anyway i use mixcraft software for recording and mixing stuffs.
Thanks this is gonna be useful!

omg what kind of question is that? do you have potential? my answer is yes lol. i love your voice tone and the power that you have in your singing. keep it up dude! get a proper stuff for recording and you're ready to rock on youtube
Thanks for the kind words buddy, I honestly wasn't expecting that!
Getting singing lesson, proper recording equipment and and the skills to use them are my next steps.

Damn you need to show me how and what you did to produce/mix the cover!!

Bump for some more tips and advices

I think it's obvious that you need practice, but it's also very obvious that you have lots of potential. You lack some technique and yet your nice tone shines through... that says a lot about what you are capable of doing if you keep working and strengthening your voice.
I liked the phrasing and your vowels, but it's breathy and lacking power in my opinion. Use your diaphragm more.
Keep it up man

Id like to get some feedback, everytime I do, it really helps. It's nice to know what others actually think of your voice, so don't be affraid to be brutally honest.

Not bad. Pitch is pretty good - this is not an easy song to keep perfect pitch. There are just a few spots in the earlier chorus's where I heard kind of a "swallowed" tone and losing the brightness. I heard some nasality in maybe one or two spots. Possibly losing the breath connection here and there. The last chorus was more consistent. Just keep on practicing and it will get more consistent. Smiling while you sing will keep the cheeks up which will help the brightness and keep you centered on the vowels.
Thanks man, this will definitely help! I also felt like I was getting better in the end. I feel like maybe my tendency to overthink things while I'm singing makes me nervous and drives me off-track.
It seems to me that I'm much better when I just let go and sing it out.
Thanks again!

Oh! Okay well, anyways keep it up man, practice makes perfect. :)

Well, I used the free sound editing software called Audacity for the effects on vocals and everything.
And as for equipments, I just use a 20 dollar microphone.
On the composing part, I used FL studio demo version.
Oh okay nice! You haven't used a pitch-correcting device? I could've sworn I'd heard some in the Maps rendition! Or does Audacity have one?

Omg the My Immortal Cover is enough to make me fall in love with you!!!!
It's one of my all-time favourites and your voice is just too lovely, and not in a childish way. I know what you mean by ''immature'', I have the same feeling about mine, but it might be just the natural tone of your voice.

I listened to your ''Gone, Gone, Gone'' cover... you have mad potential you just need to work on breathing, pitch and overall singing... I defintiely would not give it up. That ''For you-ouu, for-you-ou'' etc. sounded really great!
Keep it up!

And I liked talking to the moon best too!
-
What did you use as recording equipment and programs? I'm curious!
I found the Maps one pretty interesting it had an arabic/indian twist to it lol liked it
-
Pretty nice man, I love Mayday Parade... I feel like you can do a lot better though I don't know why it's the feeling I get.
Also, it's pretty clear to me that you have the range to do those songs in a higher key!! Try it out higher :)

Man this singing thing is hard. I also feel so inconsistent in my performances...
Here's my take on The Fray's How To Save A Life. I know there's plenty of wrong in terms of breathing.. and even pitch-wise I'm sometimes flat and sharp.
So feel free to give your feedback, it's only going to help me get better..!!

Beautiful voice and beautiful face!
-
Thanks!
I knew the latter but not the former.
As for content for your website, I don't know it seems to be off to a good start!!

Btw your website looks really nice and interesting!!!

GREAT potential! Very nice voice and very impassioned singing. It looks like you really like this song. I'm very impressed with your breath control. I like how you chose your phrasing. It seems to be a purposeful musical choice, and I really appreciate that. It shows mature musicianship.
Thank you very much and yes I do love this song! The phrasing was indeed done on purpose! I really would like to improve my articulation though, it's hard to get the best feedback on such a poor recording device.
Are you taking voice lessons? (Not spamming you. I don't currently teach lessons, but I found a few voice teachers online that I would recommend.) The reason why I ask is because you appear to get vocally fatigued the further into the song that you go. You flip into falsetto on the first chorus, which I thought was a brilliant musical choice, but then you start flipping into falsetto more with each repetition of the chorus. A good voice teacher can help you with fundamentals that will (over time) improve your stamina and strength.Keep it up! You have lots of potential!
No I never had any voice lessons, but I'm totally looking forward to getting some quality lessons. (I'm mostly self-taught through youtube and google).
You are right about the falsetto, I get the same feeling now that you've pointed it out.
Thank you so much for the input it's really helping.

Dude I really loved it!! So soothing.
Do you have other songs you can show us?
-
definitely a ton of potential! keep practicing. take care of your voice, hydrate (i love throat coat tea). You have a really good voice. and be confident!
Thanks man...
It's such a long and frustrating journey to get where one wants to be vocally... or at least it is for me!

Dude, you are starting way too low imo. Do it in a higher key!

So I love trying out different genres and pop is definitely one of my favorite.... would you say my voice suits the genre?
Feedback and brutal honesty are welcome, it's the only way I can get better (along with getting vocal lessons which I will soon )
