TMV World Legacy Member ShelbyAnn Posted May 8, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 8, 2013 Hi there I am new to singing, I have a teacher but don't really get a lot of feed back, so I am hopeing you guys could give a few hints. I have real trouble with the you you you bit in the middle, any tips for what I can do to correct that please.
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted May 9, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 9, 2013 The problem with the "you, you, you" is too much concentration on the "y" sound. Think of it as oo as in choo choo. And just the slightest touch on y. Otherwise, that y sound is detuning you and making your voice crack as the melody moves.

TMV World Legacy Member Gina Ellen Vocalist Posted May 9, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 9, 2013 I felt like I couldn't understand what you're saying. Perhaps get the consonants a little clearer. I say this with caution as you don't want to over emphasise them, I just felt they could be a little clearer. Agree with Ron, Work the phrase using just the vowel sounds and you shouldn't have so much of a problem, then gentle pop in the 'y' at the beginning. Good job though, Think the pitch was good and you have nice potential in your tone :D Professional vocalist in Devon, England.
